As an additional module, ICEM Surf Master offers advanced tools such as Feature Design, facilitating the rapid generation of design variations while preserving the original design intent and quality, or Global Offset, used to specify the thickness of plastic or sheet metal components’ walls. Similarly, Global Blend elegantly fills gaps between surfaces, providing extensive user control over the internal shape and its continuity. Furthermore, to simulate manufacturing processes, the Crowning tool enables designers to adjust for sheet metal’s spring-back behavior after the pressing process.

As its name suggests, ICEM Surf Magic is an additional Core module that offers industry-leading tools for dynamic global geometry modifications. These tools enable the quick generation and adjustment of design variations for similar new models and concepts. The Unified Modeling environment allows users to model both native ICEM Surf and imported data globally and dynamically (in real-time), while simultaneously projecting it onto reference data.

By accommodating styling, engineering, and manufacturing criteria within component design, designers can swiftly create intricate shapes such as Gaps, Accelerated Surfaces, and Advanced Fillets, equipped with robust analysis tools to identify potential issues like Gaps, Leveling, and Flatness prior to manufacturing, thus preventing costly and time-consuming modification and re-testing cycles, consequently minimizing the necessity for physical prototypes. In total, we offer 11 geometric functions and 5 analysis tools.

As an additional module, ICEM Surf Safety Analysis is employed to identify sharp edges and corners on a 3D model that could pose risks of injury, utilizing a sphere to simulate a human head rolling along selected geometry to detect curvature radii below a specified minimum.

It offers immediate feedback for early detection and rectification of potential safety homologation issues to ensure compliance with safety laws.
