DS PLM Forum

On behalf of IBS Poland and Dassault Systemes, we would like to invite you to DS PLM Forum 2010, which will take place on 10-11 June 2010 in Park Inn hotel in Cracow.

The forum is addressed to the representatives from the automotive, industrial branch, R&D and educational centers and to the general public as well.

During the forum you will have an opportunity to see the plans of Dassault Systemes and their partners, and the latest solutions for PLM product lifecycle management. Short description of our references

AlkaAlka – highly efficient picking of stationary

The warehouse of office articles in Leerte by Hannover picks up to 5.000 cardboards within 8 hours.
The warehouse consists of:

  • Five automatic warehouses for small parts (48.000 places for Containers) with double-depth warehouse structure
  • Pallet racks of high storage
  • Extended structure of roller conveyors divided into 32 picking Zones with static and dynamic picking channels
  • Automatic extra goods supply of static channels
  • Automatic supply and removal of goods from dynamic picking Channels

All picking places are equipped with Pick-by-Light modules.
High-demand articles are picked directly from pallets to cardboards designated for customers.
Maintenance of pallet racks of high storage is performed by the use of forklifts equipped with PDA terminals and connected to the system with the use of WLAN network.
The completeness of orders is verified by weighing cardboards ready for dispatch.
Cardboards are automatically strapped and labeled.
The WMS system communicates with SAP system.


logo MennekesMennekes – Production buffer between preliminary and final assembly

This innovative and implemented for the first time solution for components production for high-tension technology was carried out in record time.
Seven semi-automatic manual workstations for preliminary assembly of sub-assemblies and nine for final assembly are directly combined with automatic parts warehouse, which guarantees quick supply with sub-assemblies and parts of these workstations.
At the sub-assembly workstation, according to the SAP system instructions, empty containers are filled which next are put into a warehouse with the use of automatic storage and retrieval vehicle.
These stored sub-assemblies are delivered, according to the SAP system instructions, to the place of final assembly with the use of automatic storage and retrieval vehicle.
The production process is carried out in accordance with Kanban principle.

The warehouse takes over distribution of medical technique products from four production plants.
Pallets warehouse consists of eight areas of high storage operated by three automatic storage and retrieval vehicle. The small parts warehouse is equipped with two Vertical Lift Systems Kardex which are responsible for storing various size cardboards on tray.
Each package of new delivery is measured and the system indicates the optimal place for storing article on a tray.
Order picking takes place in two steps: picking from pallets and picking from tray.

New logistics center is used for production supply of crosswise rocking levers and gearboxes.
In the automatic warehouse with two automatic storage and retrieval vehicle the containers with parts for production are stored. On one storing place up to 4 containers may be put depending on size. Optimization of putting containers into a warehouse allows for maximum storing place use. The warehouse has 13.100 constituent channels. The storage and retrieval vehicle may transport up to four containers at the same time.
WMS system has „online” connection to the SAP system.

Logistics center of well-known producer of office articles and stationary has a warehouse of high storage for 20.000 pallets. Transports within the warehouse, extra goods supply and dispatch of complete pallets take place with the use of fork-lift trucks with PDA terminals installed connected to the system by the WLAN network.
The picking process proceeds without any documents form 1.500 channels with the use of Pick-by-Light system. The efficiency of this type of picking process amounts to around 300 orders/hour.
All zones of picking are connected to roller conveyors.
Dispatch process is equipped with automatic strapping, labeling and packaging stands.
Warehouse Management System, WMS includes 30 computer workstations.


WDTWDT – Modern picking process of articles for veterinary clinics

Innovative high-efficient picking with automatic warehouse for 10.000 containers and two automatic storage and retrieval vehicle.
Order picking takes place within hundreds of static and dynamic picking channels equipped with Pick-by-Light modules.
The frequently ordered or in big amounts articles are picked directly from pallets.
Picking is made directly to the dispatch cardboards (pick and pack) which are transported with the use of roller conveyors to the places of packaging.
In the conveyor two scales were integrated in order to control the regularity of correctness of the picking process. Ready and checked cardboards are automatically labeled and strapped.
Within eight hours around 5.000 orders are completed. Warehouse Management System, WMS communicates “online” with ProAlpha host system.
