Comprehensive logistic solutions

IBS Poland together with partner companies ESAProjekt and LUCA has realized a number of projects in the fields of logistics and warehouse logistics since 1994.

Our advantage is the ability to create software that works with computer systems of other producers and elements of automation. In our solutions we use a wide range of devices including mobile computers, PDAs, industrial scales, industrial printers, etc. We are able to integrate our solutions with other management systems working at the customer (e.g. of ERP class such as SAP, Navision, pro ALPHA, BRAIN, FTMS and others). Our innovations complement functionality of these systems and in result the systems are fully integrated. Separation of functions between them in practice entirely depends on the customer’s requirements. Communication between these systems may be on-line or in batch mode.

We realize projects starting from design phase through integration and finishing with implementation and trainings. After finishing the project we provide full technical support and authority’s supervision.
The offered systems support management of processes of goods flow and orders realization. Including distribution warehouses which by their nature of activity are forced to store and move large quantities of goods. Practically each customer has their own specific logistic processes. That is why we specialize in creating management systems tailored to individual expectations.

We realize systems of WMS type for manual, mechanized and automated warehouses. These systems have subsystems supporting management and control of different zones in these warehouses. These include:

  • Zones of accepting for the warehouse. In the zones we manage transport unloading, we accept internal and external deliveries, and returns of goods to the warehouse. Delivery form these zones is transferred to the zones of storage or cross-docking type. In these zones there is often an operation of repackaging goods to the other units of storage (pallets, containers, etc.) and marking according to the internal requirements.
  • Mechanized, automated and manual storage zones for goods and raw materials. In these zones we apply appropriate methods of marking places of storage allowing for automated or manual change of localization. We fully manage and control the processes of storing, loading, unloading and moving goods within the zone.
  • Zones of deliveries including zones of complementing orders and picking. The completion of orders before forwarding takes place in the accumulation fields.
In these fields the goods are stored in special packaging units (pallets, cartons, etc.). in many cases goods for cartons jest picked in appropriate zones. We manage different ways of picking e.g. with use of “a piece of paper”, PDA devices or “Pick by Light”, “Put by Light”, “Pick by Voice” methods, carousel racks, etc.
  • Zones of packaging and control. We manage various ways of quality control of realized orders, inter alia through control of the weight of packaged goods or dimensions and weight of packaging units. Controlled packages go to packaging zones where pallets, cartons or packages are equipped with documentation, secured and marked. There are often repackaging operations in this zone from packages used in the process of picking to the forwarding packages.

The functionality of our WMS systems is tailored to the customer’s needs and may include, inter alia:

Process of projects’ realization

One of our strongest assets is the use of formalized/formal procedures in realization of projects.
The process of realization of projects in our companies is based on recognized MSF (Microsoft Solution Framework) and RUP (Rational Unified Process) methodologies.

The process of realization of projects is based on four main elements:

  1. Iterative production
Projects are organized within areas and stages each of which consists of one or more iterations. Thanks to the iterative approach the emphasis put on particular schemes/patterns of workflow changes on next stages of product lifecycle. With the ability to illustrate the progress of work and frequent creation of executable versions the iterative approach allows for early and continuous elimination of risk.
  2. Management of requirements
Realized projects include formalized approach to manage user’s requirements i.e. analysis, documentation, organization and tracking changes of requirements.
  3. Use of architecture based on components
Architecture based on components makes the system more extensible, more understandable and allows the reuse of checked and tested components.
  4. Visual Modeling
Visual modeling of realized project presented in the form of appropriate perspectives (static and dynamic) gives the possibility of easy and effective presentation of requirements and offered system architecture. Graphic presentation is additionally an intermediary element between business process and implementation. Model in this context is a form of visualization and simplification of more complicated project.
